Total Checking + Chase Savings

Chase pays up to $900 when you open a new Chase Total Checking account and a new Chase Savings account at the same time and meet the requirements for both.

How the $900 is made up

Recent versions of this offer have paid:

• $300 for Total Checking, after a direct deposit arrives within 90 days
• $200 for Chase Savings, after you deposit $15,000 or more in new money within 30 days and keep it there for 90 days
• $400 extra for opening both together and earning both bonuses

Chase sends you the exact amounts and your offer code when you sign up. Check those before you open the accounts.

What counts as direct deposit

• A paycheck, pension or government benefit paid electronically to your Chase routing number
• These don't count: Zelle, mobile or branch check deposits, transfers from other banks, tax refunds, wire transfers and micro-deposits

New money rules

• It can't already be at Chase or a Chase affiliate
• Deposit it within 30 days, then keep it in the savings account for 90 days

Monthly fees, and how to avoid them

• Total Checking: $12 a month. Waived with $500 or more in monthly direct deposits, a $1,500 minimum daily balance, or a $5,000 average balance across linked Chase accounts
• Chase Savings: $5 a month. Waived with a $300 minimum daily balance, or an automatic transfer of $25 or more from Chase checking

Who can't get it

• Anyone who already owns or co-owns a Chase checking or savings account
• Anyone whose Chase account closed in the last 90 days, or closed with a negative balance in the last 3 years
• Only one checking and one savings bonus every two years
